Yes indeed the southern belle was once again dragged into the wilderness. My friends are determined to make a camper out of me yet. Full details at the end of the week (hint: it was a camping trip and picnic that wasn’t open to the public) For now, enjoy…

I’ve pitched up my tent and the beans are cooking, the coffee’s boiling, I’m ready and waiting for it all to happen. Were you up a tree when you took the photo, looks that way. Will pop back to read the full version of ” The Southern Belle Living in a Hell Called Camping.”

Okay… this sounds like it’s gonna be an interesting story. The places the mind can wander, I tell ya.

Grottogirl: thanks for stopping by (I love ya…always)
Martyn: yes, kicking and screaming although the photos might not show that (lol ;-))
Mojo: it is an interesting story. I am so not a camper but had the best time of my life on this trip (I think it had something to do with the free beer)

If you woke up to that, I’d say it was worth it!
by lala, on March 12 2009 @ 1:55 am
Yeah, Brenda, I think so too! It was worth it.Here on my little barrier island, I don’t get too many of those trees. So it was worth it.

@Cool Dad Central: yeah, where I live, shoes are always a formality! We live on Island Time here and have very few places with those annoying signs “no shirt, no shoes, no service”

Camping? Looks beautiful. However, did you know that one of the things that separate a Sothern Belle from a Redneck gal is a hotel reservation? At least that’s been my excuse for years!
by lala, on March 19 2009 @ 11:27 pm
LOL…easy, sis. We had reservations for the Open Air Hotel. Hey, if those people can stay in ice hotels…I’m just sayin’
Yeah, no, I’m really not much into camping either, even though our friends had a nice set up, with a bedside table and their mattress off the ground. It looked like a safari room or something.
